My memory is cruel

By profession, I'm an auditor. I get paid to document to support any conclusions I draw.

Yet, today, I realized that I had documented nothing out of the past few years of our lives together... save the little things I had kept and taken with me from Aurora Court to Pilkey Crescent.

The name tags from the recruiting events. The souvenir bracelet from the butterfly conservatory. The still-functional cardholders. The memories that should logically fade in time yet grow stronger as days go by.

They may not be documentation per se, but they are evidence of what once was but now is no more.

I may be three years too late, but here's to my renewed effort of going further than the An Explanatory Post.
